Prattstore Events
The Prattstore Annex at Higgins Hall will open for the first time in Main Hall South, Room 112 and remains open to students through Friday, September 17. The Annex will offer architecture supplies for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as apparel, Pratt logo items, textbooks, and more.
For the first time in the history of Prattstore, four Foundation textbooks will be available for a semester-long rental at about half of what it costs to buy them. The available rental books are: Janson's History of Art/8th Edition; History of Modern Art; Fundamentals of Building Construction: Materials and Methods; and Structural Steel Design. It's a great deal for incoming students! Prices and rental details are available online at www.prattstore.net.
Prattstore's annual Faculty Day will take place on Thursday, September 23 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Following this all-day event, a wine and cheese reception will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Faculty Day offers faculty, staff, and students the opportunity to view the latest in new academic products and goods. There will be demonstrations, free samples, new products, and door prizes throughout the day. Stop by and view the latest innovations for your program or office!
Results are in for the first-ever Vote for Art T-shirt contest: congratulations to Xindi Yan, class of 2013, whose winning design "Oriental Pratt" will be available for purchase at the Prattstore this fall. Yan's design received an overwhelming number of votes and may be viewed on the Prattstore's Facebook Page. Thank you to all those who voted for this contest, and start thinking of your designs for next year's Vote for Art T-Shirt contest!
