This exhibition highlights Pratt in Venice student art and research produced during the study abroad program. A silent auction will be held to raise funds for the Pratt in Venice Scholarship.

Resonance: Looking For Mr. McLuhan

This exhibition commemorates the 100th anniversary of the birth of the pioneering media critic Marshall McLuhan and aims to demonstrate how McLuhan's thinking still resonates with contemporary artists. Boasting work from 16 different artists, the exhibition is curated by guest curator Berta Sichel, director of the department of audiovisuals and chief-curator film and video at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid, and assistant guest curator Mariano Salvador, a filmmaker and former assistant curator in the department of audiovisual and web coordinator, also at the Museo Nacional Centro de Art Reina Sofía.

"Breaking Borders Symposium: A Critical Panorama" on November 7
With a distinguished panel of international architects and educators, this symposium will discuss the global importance of Latin American architecture with presentations in conjunction with the ongoing "Breaking Borders" exhibition. Speakers include Alfredo Brillembourg, chair of Architecture and Urban Design at the Swiss Institute of Technology; Ana Maria Duran, architect at A0 Studio in Quito, Ecuador; Giancarlo Mazzanti, architect in Bogota, Columbia; Barry Bergdoll, chief curator of Architecture and Design at The Museum of Modern Art in New York; Kenneth Frampton, Ware professor of architecture at Columbia University; Ivan Shumkov, Pratt professor of architecture.
