"Party Headquarters: Art in the Age of Political Absurdity" Exhibition

Greta Pratt, Rodney Parker, from the Liberty Wavers series, 2010-2012, photograph, 20 x 28 inches.Pratt Manhattan Gallery connects with the fall 2012 election campaign by presenting Party Headquarters: Art in the Age of Political Absurdity, a political art exhibition, voter registration drive, and the fifth annual "Pratt Falls," a program of political cabaret produced by Larry Litt, which represents a broad range of opinions about political media, the art of persuasion, the persuasion of art, and voting attitudes of vote-eligible citizens.

"Pratt Falls" will take place in the gallery on October 16, October 30, and November 6 at 7 PM.

Pratt Institute 125th Anniversary Gala

In honor of Pratt's founding on October 17, 1887, Pratt will host a golden anniversary gala to celebrate its distinguished legacy. This once-in-a-lifetime event will honor the Pratt Family, Maximilian Josef Riedel, Julie Taymor, and Kehinde Wiley, while raising vital funds for student scholarships. Pratt in Venice Exhibition

Generations of artists have been inspired by Venice’s shimmering waterways, visual richness, and serene character. The Pratt in Venice program's 28th annual exhibition will showcase the studio and research work of students from the 2012 Pratt in Venice program, a six-week summer intensive covering aspects of Venetian art and art history, printmaking, and painting. The opening reception will feature a silent auction of the students’ work to benefit the Pratt in Venice scholarship fund.
