Ted Southern

M.F.A. Sculpture ’07

Ted Southern and his partner Nikolai Moiseev, who formerly worked for Zvezda, Russia’s national space suit supplier, met at an astronaut glove design competition sponsored by NASA. They went on to found the space suit company Final Frontier Design, located in Brooklyn Navy Yard. In addition to government contracts, the firm targets the burgeoning commercial aeronautics market.
